Virgil van Dijk’s injury ‘not good’, says Jurgen Klopp

London: Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted that the injury to center-back Virgil van Dijk does not look good at the moment.

The Dutch defender lasted just 11 minutes in Liverpool’s Premier League game against Everton on Saturday. He was forced out of the game because he found himself in a dispute with Everton goalkeeper Jordon Pickford.

“I do not know. It is not good. Virgil played I do not know how many games in a row, he plays with pain, he plays with just about everything. But he could not play further. It is not good,” he said. said according to Klopp.

The Everton goalkeeper flew in for Virgil van-Dijk and he was able to connect at knee height with the Liverpool defender and leave him on the ground.

The Dutch defender was unable to continue and he had to be replaced for the match. The match between Everton and Liverpool ended in a 2-2 draw.

For Liverpool, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah scored the goals, while Michael Keane and Dominic Calvert-Lewin hit the ball for Everton.

Liverpool are currently in second place in the Premier League 2020-21 position with 10 points from 5 matches.
