Manchester: Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has defended Sergio Aguero after the striker was surrounded by controversy after touching Sian Massey-Ellis during a clash with the Premier League.
‘The incident took place just before the break in the Etihad Stadium. Aguero made an exception on Massey-Ellis throwing in for Arsenal, ‘Goal.com reported.
The Manchester City striker confronted the lineman and saw her grab her by the shoulder. The line woman was then seen as he swung Aguero’s arm away from her.
“Come on guys. Sergio is the nicest person I’ve ever met in my life. Look for problems in other situations, not in this one,” Goal.com quoted Guardiola.
In the match against Arsenal, City recorded a 1-0 victory as Raheem Sterling scored a goal in the 23rd minute of the match.
With this victory, City moved to ninth place in the Premier League 2020-21 position with seven points from nine games.
Guardiola’s team will be in action in their opening match against Porto on Wednesday 21 October.
After this match, the team will return to the Premier League next weekend with a match against West Ham.
