Covid-19 update: 894 new cases, 10 deaths in Telangana

Hyderabad: Telangana signed up 894 new Covid-19 infections and 10 deaths to Sunday night, taking the total toll at 703 and the number of positive cases at 92,255. The total number of active cases as of Sunday night in the State was 21,420.

As many as 2,006 people in the State recovered between Saturday and Sunday night, pushing the total number of collections in the State to 70,132, with a recovery rate of 76.01 percent, while the nationwide recovery rate is 71.91 percent. According to the health bulletin, deaths in the State are 0.76 percent, while nationwide is 1.93 percent.

Of the 21,420 active Covid positive patients, as many as 14,404 Covid-19 positive patients are under isolation from home across the country while 7,016 positive cases are in institutional care.

Officials executed 8,794 Covid-19 tests until Sunday night while the results of another 421 swamp samples are pending. So far, 7,53,349 swamp samples have been tested in the state since the outbreak of the pandemic, of which 92,255 tested positive and 70,132 people recovered.

The Covid-19 Positive cases reported from all the districts include 10 from Adilabad, nine from Bhadradri, 147 from areas under GHMC, 31 from Jagtiyal, seven from Jangaon, 21 from Gadwal, seven from Kamareddy, 69 from Karimnagar, 44 from Khammam , 11 of Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, 30 of Mahabubnagar, 31 of Mahabubabad, 17 of Mancherial, eight of Medak, 51 of Medchal Malkajgiri, 15 of Nagarkurnool, 37 of Nalgonda, 38 of Nizamabad, 62 of Peddapally, two of Siricilla, 85 of Rangareddy, 29 of Sangareddy, 58 of Siddipet, 12 of Suryapet, one of Vikarabad, two of Wanaparthy, nine of Warangal Rural, 44 of Warangal Urban and one of Yadadri Bhongir.
